Investing Their Treasure: Enterprise Mobility
We want to give a special thank you to Enterprise Mobility for underwriting extracurricular activities for the kids that we serve. Our foster families want to make sure that the children they are caring for have full access to everyday hobbies and activities, like sports, but enrollment can often be expensive. Enterprise Mobility realizes the importance of team activities and the immense positive impact that participation can have on young children, so they generously donated funds to our foster families for the specific purpose of sport involvement.
Chris Ebbing, Area Manager Truck Rental Division of Enterprise Mobility, said this cause is close to his heart because, "As a father of 3 I love to hear when kids play less video games for more physical activity. This helps on so many levels."
Being on a sports team helps kids who have experienced trauma feel a sense a purpose and gives them a safe space to channel their energy. It's also a wonderful way to make friends and have a sense of normalcy when aspects of their lives can feel uncertain.
One of our foster moms who was able to put her son in a sports program because of this generous donation shared how beneficial it has been for her son to escape from technology for a bit and participate in his favorite sport! She shared how it's given him a sense of purpose, excitement, and has even helped him spend more time with his foster family after his practices.

Investing Their Time: Back To School Collection Partners
In July, hundreds of backpacks, school supplies, and diaper bags were collected for our kids to feel supported and set-up well for the new school year. Every year, we count on churches, individuals, and businesses to donate new backpacks and school supplies for all ages as well as diaper bags to support families with infants. We then host a Back To School Bash where our foster and adoptive parents and kiddos get to pick out what they need! Going back to school can sometimes bring negative feelings or emotions for our kids, but our 4KIDS Partners help alleviate that stress by providing ample supplies! It's incredible to see how something as simple as a pink sparkly backpack or a Spiderman pencil case can light up a child's eyes and help them feel prepared for the academic year ahead.
We want to thank businesses Broten Garage Door Sales, Miller Construction Company, Lotspeich Co. of FL., Paramount, Hayes Locums, Robert Slack LLC, Bass Underwriters, and Sasha Abele Katz for their generous donations! Your kindness not only supplies educational tools but also sends a powerful message of support and encouragement to our youth. Investing Their Talent: Career Networking Event Partners We recently hosted the second annual Career Networking Event at our Broward Office for our young adults, and yet again it was a huge success thanks to our partners!
Through this event, our hope is to introduce and educate our current residents and alumni of our transitional independent living programs—TIL 2:25 and His Caring Place (HCP), about career paths available in various industries that they may not be aware of or ever considered. Many of the residents at TIL 2:25 and HCP have aged out of foster care and are in search of next steps for their life. This event and the businesses involved allow the residents to explore pathways and dive deeper into what their future career could look like.
We’re deeply appreciative to these participating businesses and their teams for joining us at the event. Thank you Memorial Healthcare System, ChenMed, FLITE Center, Visuals by MOMO, AVI-SPL, IMS United, 3rd Beat Studios, Chick-fil-A Pompano Beach, Walmart Health and Wellness, and Holman.

Featured Miami Partner: Chick-fil-A Miami Shores Our Miami reach is expanding and we are so thankful for every partner who has taken the step to impact children in need. This quarter, we want to highlight and thank Chick-fil-A Miami Shores for their partnership.
This year marked the first-ever 4KIDS Back To School Drive in Miami-Dade, and instead of full backpacks, we asked for donations so that our Miami families could go on a "shopping spree" to purchase the school supplies they needed. We were blown away by the support of Chick-fil-A when they provided a $500 check towards the need! Jon Harmeling, Owner-Operator at Chick-fil-A Miami Shores said, "My wife and I love supporting caring organizations that are focused on having a positive influence on others, especially children."
