Investing Their Treasure: JM Family Enterprises

JM Family Enterprises has been a longtime partner with 4KIDS in many capacities, from sponsoring events to hosting Life Skills Classes and volunteering! Their commitment to giving back began with their founder, Mr. Jim Moran, and continues today as an integral part of their culture.

This past July, JM Family Enterprises' ITS team hosted a mid-year event to celebrate achievements over the first six months of the year. Their team wanted this to be a fundraiser that gave back to the community, and they graciously chose 4KIDS as their charity of choice.  

It was a festival-themed event and to help raise money, associates could purchase throws to dunk an ITS leader into a tank of water. Six JM ITS leaders climbed into the dunk tank dressed in everything from a wet suit to a pink bunny costume!

"The highlight of the event was when Chad Couch, Chief Information Officer (CIO) at JM Family Enterprises, decided he, too, would climb into the tank…but only after he challenged ITS to raise $500 to get him onto the ledge! The overwhelming response resulted in more than $2,000 being raised in only a few days. Between donations and dunking seven leaders, ITS collectively raised $5,812 for 4KIDS." – Jenessa, JM Family Enterprises

JM Family Enterprises’ ITS team used their employee celebration as an opportunity for good, transforming it into a beautiful display of generosity; they rallied their teams with smiles and laughter to create a joyous environment of giving-back. Thank you for continuing to invest into the lives of kids and families in crisis.

Investing Their Time: Crazy Uncle Mikes 

We want to thank Crazy Uncle Mikes for hosting “Brunch & Bingo Benefitting 4KIDS”, as well as Johnson Ritchey Family Law Firm and Jenny and Craig Watts for sponsoring this fundraising event!

As part of the Boca Chamber Festival Days, sponsored by Allegiance Home Health & Rehab, nearly 100 friends came together at Crazy Uncle Mikes on August 10th for a delicious brunch followed by an exciting game of 80’s music-themed bingo! This lively event not only offered a chance to enjoy delicious food and nostalgic fun but also served as a heartfelt opportunity to support kids in foster care! It brought a sense of community while making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, dancing, camaraderie, and a shared commitment to a worthy cause. 

Much-needed funds were raised to help bring Hope, Homes, and Healing to kids in crisis. We are so appreciative of these partners and all who attended!

Investing Their Talent: Susannah Stones, Owner of D’Best Sandwich Shop

Each month, our Champions4KIDS committee meets over lunch to discuss ways they can help impact the kids in our community. We want to give a special thank you to Susannah Stones, owner of D’Best Sandwich Shop in Boca Raton for graciously sharing her culinary talent with us as she donates catering for our monthly Palm Beach Champions4KIDS Luncheon.  

When we asked Susannah what the best part about serving with 4KIDS is, she said, "I have seen your work in action, a friend of mine is a foster mom and 4KIDS has been a huge help to her. All your staff are kind, loving people who are working hard for foster kids and families." 

Whether she's dropping off delicious cheese steaks, chicken wraps, or D’Pilgrim subs, Susannah does it out of the kindness of her heart, driven by her desire to give back through her business. Next time you're looking for a sub shop that won't disappoint, look no further than D'Best!
