His Caring Place (HCP) offers a two-year program that provides stable housing and assistance for women with a limited support system who are facing pregnancies and/or parenting young children. Through these services, these young moms are able to receive support, grow in independent living skills, and learn about God’s love.
Female volunteers who are at least 26 years old commit to being available to serve on Tuesday or Thursday evenings to provide babysitting support while the young moms participate in a fellowship or Life Skill class. Volunteers serve at least once a month and, if available, may also babysit on a weekend or provide transportation during the weekday to doctors’ appointments, grocery runs, job interviews etc.
Volunteers and staff in our HCP program attend a monthly “Big Fellowship” featuring a fun activity, dinner and a wonderful time for forming and building relationships.
Attending a Big Fellowship is the first step if you would like to explore whether to pursue becoming an HCP volunteer.
